Iran supportive housing development

Overview

The Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development has set a target to open 130,000 supportive housing units by the end of the year. Approximately 850,000 supportive housing units are currently under construction, with 250,000 units managed by the Housing Foundation of the Islamic Revolution. Officials noted that over 700,000 eligible applicants are awaiting final determination.

In Tehran province, roughly 50,000 units under the National Housing Movement are underway. However, officials reported a decline in building permit issuances, attributing the trend to rising costs and other economic factors. To protect the rights of applicants who meet their financial commitments, authorities stated that those failing to meet obligations may be moved to lower-progress projects or removed from lists.
