Isis Valverde tattoo professional challenges

Overview

Brazilian actress Isis Valverde has discussed the professional challenges posed by a large tattoo on her ribs. During an interview on the YouTube program ‘Ambulatório da Moda’, the 39-year-old actress explained that the scale of the piece, which depicts two kissing masks inspired by ‘Gone with the Wind’, often requires the use of makeup to conceal it during film and television productions.

Valverde noted that while the imagery represents the coexistence of comedy and tragedy and holds personal meaning, she felt significant regret regarding its size shortly after receiving it at age 21. She described the decision as being made during a ‘rebellious period’ of her youth. Consequently, while she now has eight tattoos, she prefers to place them in discreet locations to ensure they can be easily covered for various acting roles.
