Overview

Israeli military and settler activities in the West Bank have focused on land clearing and the establishment of new settlement outposts. In Sinjil, north of Ramallah, Israeli military units cleared land to expand an existing outpost, which local sources claim serves as a base for settler attacks on Palestinian crops and livestock.

Activities intensified in mid-August with reports of settlers erecting tents for new outposts near Umm Safa and Burqa. In the village of Qusra, southeast of Nablus, approximately 15 Palestinians, including children, were besieged in their homes for over a week, facing threats and a lack of food and water. Amnesty International characterized these actions as part of a “coordinated and strategic settler terror” intended to displace Palestinian residents.
