Overview

The 48th Turkey İş Bankası Istanbul Marathon will close registrations on 31 July, with reduced‑fee entries for its 42‑km and 15.5‑km races. The limited‑field marathon (7,500 runners) is scheduled for 1 November 2024, traversing both the European and Asian sides of the city.

The Istanbul Festival will run from 1 to 16 August 2026 in Festival Park Yenikapı. Organised by Focus Istanbul Event Management, CEO Özlem Adıgüzel highlighted the event’s aim to be “accessible and inclusive” – a celebration of music as a universal right. The opening night features Central Cee and Turkish rapper Motive, followed by a packed programme that adds Derya Bedavacı, Özcan Deniz, maNga, Sagopa Kajmer, Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut, Mor ve Ötesi, Yıldız Tilbe and a K‑pop segment with KWON EUNBI and ATEEZ, alongside already‑announced acts such as Ajda Pekkan, Gökhan Türkmen, Serdar Ortaç, Tiësto and others.

The festival’s main stage, inspired by Mimar Sinan, measures 70 m wide, 28 m high and is equipped with a 1 300 m² LED screen and 176 speaker boxes. Ticket prices start at 750 TL. In addition to concerts, the event offers a Youth Stage, DJ sets, dance shows, 3×3 basketball tournaments, children’s zones and extensive food courts, creating a multi‑day cultural‑sport‑entertainment hub in Istanbul.
