In the province of Caserta, the Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra (AVS) has requested a hearing with the provincial president regarding the remediation of the ‘Campania Energia’ site in Teano and the ‘Metalplast’ site in Ailano. Although a regional decree designated the Province of Caserta as the entity responsible for the cleanup—supported by 4.2 million euros—the political group reports that no work has commenced and no schedule has been established. AVS expressed concerns regarding public health and the environmental integrity of the Lete and Volturno river basins.
