In the Lazio region, where the season runs from September 20, 2026, to January 31, 2027, new weapon regulations have been implemented within the Bracciano-Martignano Regional Natural Park. While hunting is strictly prohibited in the park, management has established specific authorization requirements for the transport of weapons and capture tools to prevent criminal or administrative sanctions. Residents and non-residents must pay fees to obtain these authorizations for necessary transfers related to training or competitions.

These developments follow previous regulatory shifts in Sicily, where the Consiglio di Giustizia Amministrativa restored much of the hunting calendar. Nationally, the Chamber of Deputies' Agriculture Commission continues to review legislation that would transition the legal framework from the ‘protection’ of wildlife to the ‘management’ of wildlife.
