Italian solidarity projects for Palestinian children

In late July 2026, Tuscany hosted ten Palestinian children from the Balata refugee camp as part of the "Ponti di Pace" initiative, emphasizing solidarity and criticism of the Israeli‑Palestinian conflict. The program involved regional officials and local NGOs, and highlighted the children’s experiences of war and occupation.

A few days later, in early August 2026, the city of Modena concluded a month‑long intercultural project that welcomed 20 Palestinian youths from Taybeh. The initiative, supported by municipal authorities, local associations and a fundraising campaign that raised over €20,000, provided educational and cultural activities and pledged the funds to a youth centre in Taybeh.

Both events illustrate a coordinated effort by Italian regional and municipal bodies to foster direct solidarity with Palestinian children through hosting programs, cultural exchange, and financial support.
