Italian victims of Peru plane crash

Overview

Following a fatal plane crash in Peru on August 1, the city of Monza declared a day of official mourning on August 29 to honor the Gianturco family. The victims included Paolo Gianturco, his wife Cristina Maria Bianco, and their sons Matteo and Pietro.

During the mourning period, flags were flown at half-mast at public buildings. Funeral services for the Gianturco family were held on August 29, with ceremonies at the Monza Duomo presided over by Archpriest Monsignor Marino Mosconi.
