Italy alternating one-way traffic extensions
Entities: Anas · Giusi La Galia · Barbara Di Franco · Salvatore Cipriano · GioiosAttiva
Overview
A local citizen group in Gioiosa Marea asked the mayor for clarification on the temporary alternating one‑way scheme imposed on State Road 113 (kilometre 92+000‑92+400) and the ban on trucks over 3.5 tonnes, noting that the ordinance was due to expire on 31 July 2026.
The following day the national road authority Anas announced that the alternating one‑way order on that stretch of SS 113 would be extended until 7 August, allowing minibuses under six tonnes to keep public‑transport links operating. Mayors Giusi La Galia and Salvatore Cipriano thanked the contractor and said they would continue coordinating with Anas on a permanent solution.
Anas also disclosed a similar temporary alternating one‑way arrangement on Campania’s SS 145 “Sorrentina” from 1 August through September because of landslide risk, with night‑time works slated to resume mid‑September and funded by a €5.6 million investment.
