The Smart Fortwo recorded the highest share of damage (23.8%) and the Alfa Romeo Stelvio led in odometer tampering (3.9%). Experts advise full vehicle‑history checks and professional inspections.

Diesel‑powered used cars held 37.9% of the market, gasoline 38.6%, while hybrids and plug‑in hybrids continued to expand. Lombardy contributed 16.2% of national transfers, keeping the north‑west region dominant.

Diesel remained the main fuel (77.6% for light, 97.4% for heavy), while hybrid gasoline models grew 67% and plug‑in hybrids surged 238%.
