Jakarta urban infrastructure and school renovation projects

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has initiated several urban development and infrastructure projects focused on education and environmental management. For the 2026 budget year, the administration prioritized the renovation of eight damaged schools, including SMAN 102 Jakarta and several elementary schools, with an estimated budget of approximately Rp249 billion.

Specifically, the reconstruction of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 and 11 has commenced. This Rp50 billion project aims to replace buildings that collapsed over two years ago and is being funded through Floor Area Ratio (KLB) compensation from PT Wisma Nusantara Internasional to bypass regional budget constraints. The construction is expected to take eight to nine months.

Additionally, Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo announced plans for the revitalization of Kali Kebon Melati in Tanah Abang. Scheduled to begin in early 2027 and conclude in 2028, the project will involve installing retaining walls, improving sanitation, and increasing greenery along a 2.3-kilometer stretch without displacing long-term residents.
