Entities: Kitakyushu City Kiyase Memorial Museum · 大九州展 · Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro · Nissui Group · GLOBAL NATURE POSITIVE SUMMIT 2026

Overview

In late July 2026 Japan hosted a series of regional food and culture exhibitions. On July 25‑26 the Japan Material Koshien tournament in Sapporo highlighted Hokkaido specialties such as octopus, spiny crab and corn, while the Global Nature Positive Summit in Kumamoto featured Nissui’s sustainable aquaculture showcase and workshops for schoolchildren.

A few days later, from July 29 onward, the "Daikyushu Exhibition" in Tokyo displayed foods and crafts from the seven Kyushu prefectures, including beef bento, regional sweets and specialty drinks, while the "Mukai no Dougu Exhibition" in Kitakyushu presented historic tools and offered traditional printing workshops. Together the events illustrate a coordinated effort to promote regional Japanese cuisine and cultural heritage across multiple locations during the summer of 2026.
