JetSMART expands Argentine network

In late July 2026, low‑cost carrier JetSMART announced two major moves in Argentina. It unveiled a new direct Buenos Aires‑Medellín service slated to begin on 12 November, adding five weekly flights that will link the Argentine capital with Colombia and feed into its broader South American network. At the same time, the airline launched operations in the province of Santiago del Estero, with officials highlighting expected benefits for tourism, business travel and regional integration.

A few days later, in early August, JetSMART confirmed another domestic expansion: a new route connecting Posadas in Misiones Province with Buenos Aires, scheduled to start on 1 November. The provincial government highlighted the route’s role in boosting tourism and investment, and announced airport upgrades at Posadas to handle the increased traffic. Together, these announcements illustrate JetSMART’s rapid rollout of new international and intra‑Argentine flights aimed at enhancing connectivity and stimulating economic activity across the country.
