Overview

In early July, the $100 million renovation of Terminal 5 at JFK Airport was announced, highlighting the addition of new food concepts such as Eataly, Nom Wah and The Halal Guys. By the end of the month, the scope of the project was detailed: more than 40 shops and restaurants will open, including Leon’s Bagels, Jacob’s Pickles, Melt Shop, Dunkin’, Shake Shack, Red Hook Tavern and Hometown Bar‑B‑Que, as well as a Central Node Park inspired by New York’s boroughs. JetBlue also partnered with NYC eateries Crown Shy and Birdee to create new Mint cabin menus featuring diverse dishes and extensive dietary options. Additional dining concepts from Red Hook Tavern and Hometown Bar‑B‑Que are planned for early 2027.
