Overview

The symphonic orchestras of the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) and the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACH) announced a collaborative tribute titled ‘Juan Gabriel Sinfónico’. The performance, scheduled for August 27 and 28 at the Teatro Víctor Hugo Rascón Banda, features a large ensemble of approximately 82 musicians, mariachi, band members, singers, and choristers to commemorate the 53rd anniversary of the UACJ and the tenth anniversary of the passing of Alberto Aguilera Valadez, known as Juan Gabriel.

Following the announcement, 3,000 tickets for the event sold out in approximately one hour. To attend, participants were required to donate a new, non-violent, battery-free toy. These donations are intended for the ‘Santa Bombero’ campaign to support children in Ciudad Juárez during the December holiday season.
