Judicial education and training initiatives in Spain

Overview

Spain has implemented various judicial education programs targeting different demographics. In the Murcia region, the ‘Educando en justicia’ program has expanded to 214 primary and secondary schools, involving over 47,500 students. This initiative, a collaboration between the Regional Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, the High Court of Justice of Murcia, and the General Council of the Judiciary, uses mock trials and lectures to increase judicial visibility and improve school coexistence.

Additionally, the Escuela Judicial of the General Council of the Judiciary has announced its 14th Specialized Judicial Training Course in Barcelona. This program is designed for legal professionals from Ibero-America, utilizing a case-study method to encourage the exchange of jurisdictional experiences between Spanish and Ibero-American judges.
