Jungheinrich and Movu Robotics automation partnership

Overview

Jungheinrich and Movu Robotics have established a strategic partnership to develop highly automated pallet warehouse solutions. The collaboration focuses on integrating Movu’s four-way shuttle technology, including the ‘Atlas’ system, with Jungheinrich’s planning, software, and warehouse management systems (WMS).

Under the agreement, Jungheinrich acts as the preferred integrator for Movu’s shuttle systems, while Movu serves as the preferred robot supplier for Jungheinrich. The partnership aims to provide a seamless, end-to-end automation process by orchestrating shuttle systems, conveyor technology, and mobile robots through a single software stack. This integration is intended to address rising space costs and the demand for high-density storage in sectors such as food and beverage, cold-chain logistics, and third-party logistics (3PL).

A flagship project involving ten robot shuttles and approximately 11,500 pallet positions is already underway in Almere, Netherlands.
