Kenshi Yonezu musical contributions to films
Overview
Musician Kenshi Yonezu has been announced as the performer for theme songs for two upcoming theatrical releases.
In October 2026, it was reported that Yonezu wrote the original theme song ‘Haru ga Tomori’ for the film ‘The Apothecary Diaries: The Secret of the Deceased Consort’, which is scheduled for release in Japan on December 11, 2026. Yonezu indicated the composition was influenced by Japanese nursery rhymes.
In November 2026, Yonezu was announced to perform the song ‘Konnichiwa Gokigenyou!’ for the film version of ‘Tora no Tsubasa’, set for release on January 15, 2027. This follows his previous work on the original NHK morning drama series.
