King Promise and Chelsea FC partnership
Overview
Ghanaian musician King Promise has entered into a professional partnership with Chelsea Football Club. Initially, the artist confirmed he had recorded the club’s official song for the upcoming season, titled ‘Can’t Tame Us’, which included plans for a music video and documentary to be filmed in Ghana.
Following this, the collaboration resulted in the release of ‘Can’t Tame Us (Chelsea Anthem)’, an official Afrobeats-inspired track dedicated to the club’s supporters in Africa. Co-written and produced by Ray Michael Djan Jr through London-based SW6 Studios, the anthem is scheduled for use at Chelsea fixtures during the 2026/27 season.
The accompanying music video was filmed in Accra, Ghana, at the Nungua SDA Park and during the Rent Paid Football Exhibition Tournament, which served as the African launch for Chelsea’s new home kit. King Promise, a lifelong supporter, noted the significance of filming at Nungua SDA Park, where he originally developed his passion for football. Chelsea brand director Scott Fenton described the partnership as a “natural collaboration” intended to celebrate African fan culture and the club’s influence beyond the pitch, highlighting the cultural connection between Ghana and the Premier League club.
