Kisela Voda infrastructure development

Overview

Infrastructure development is underway in the Kisela Voda Municipality, North Macedonia, through the ‘Hungarian Credit – Projects Phase 2’ program.

Initial works focused on the reconstruction of the ‘Crn Kanal’ atmospheric drainage channel in Dracevo. This project, aimed at mitigating flood risks, involves remediating the concrete bed and installing concrete blocks to support a new pedestrian walkway. Mayor Beti Stamenkoska-Trajkoska reported that approximately 50 percent of the first phase was completed as of mid-September.

Following the drainage works, the municipality commenced a road reconstruction project spanning 1,173 meters from the Dračevo bridge to OHIS. This phase involves excavation and earth removal to prepare for crushed stone stabilization and asphalt paving. The completed road is intended to feature a 5-meter wide roadway and 1.5-meter wide sidewalks on both sides.
