KKB artificial intelligence initiatives in Turkey
Overview
Kredi Kayıt Bürosu (KKB) has launched several initiatives focused on artificial intelligence and data security. In early October, KKB partnered with the Koç University-İş Bankası Artificial Intelligence Center (KUIS AI) to develop a project aimed at preventing credit application fraud. This project utilizes federated learning technology, allowing five participating banks to develop shared fraud detection models while keeping sensitive raw data within their individual environments to ensure privacy.
Later in the month, KKB concluded a hackathon centered on ‘Agentic Data Analytics.’ The event involved over 1,800 students and 522 teams from across Turkey. Participants utilized KKB’s domestic cloud infrastructure, Kloudeks, to access artificial intelligence services such as large language models. The competition also featured an AI-based evaluation system developed by former participants to analyze code quality and performance.
