Klagenfurt and Graz summer festivals

In late July 2026, officials from Klagenfurt travelled to Graz to promote the upcoming Altstadtzauber festival, highlighting the short 45‑minute Koralmbahn connection. The delegation, led by Mayor Christian Scheider, distributed flyers and performed live music in front of the Graz Rathaus. The same weekend, the city’s traditional Waldfest in the Viktring district attracted political figures such as FPÖ councilor Sandra Wassermann and National Council member Gernot Darmann, who praised the event’s multigenerational appeal.

A few days later, Klagenfurt hosted a free‑entry Italian food festival on Neuer Platz, featuring regional specialties from Apulia and supported again by Mayor Scheider. Simultaneously, Graz staged the La Strada Festival, presenting a diverse program of acrobatic, dance and interactive performances from artists across Europe, with many shows offered free of charge.
