Kosovo social housing project launch

Overview

The Kosovo government has launched a 37 million euro social housing project intended to support families in need across 21 municipalities. Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti characterized the initiative as a vital investment in “social security, equality, and human dignity.”

The project is funded by a 25 million euro loan from the Council of Europe Development Bank and 12 million euros from the Kosovo budget. Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Fitore Pacolli indicated that agreements with beneficiary municipalities were scheduled to begin signing the following Monday.
