Overview

Harris Teeter, a subsidiary of Kroger, initially announced a service allowing customers to receive eligible prescriptions alongside grocery orders via Instacart. This service, available through the retailer’s app or website, requires enrollment in the My Prescriptions and Online Pay programs. Lindsay Cappoziello, senior director of health and wellness at Harris Teeter, stated the offering “makes it possible for more families to manage their health in a convenient and efficient way.”

Following the Harris Teeter announcement, Kroger expanded the service nationwide. The initiative now connects shoppers to more than 2,200 Kroger pharmacy locations across nearly all company banners, including Ralphs and Fred Meyer. Eligible prescriptions are filled and verified by pharmacy teams, placed in tamper-resistant packaging, and delivered by Instacart shoppers. Eligibility remains subject to medication type, delivery address, and local regulations.
