KTM MotoGP team lineup for 2027 season

Overview

KTM has finalized its rider lineup for the 2027 MotoGP season, which will coincide with a transition to new technical regulations involving 850cc engines and Pirelli tires.

On September 5, KTM confirmed that Luca Marini will join the Tech3 satellite team. KTM Motorsport Director Pit Beirer stated that Marini’s technical ability to assist in motorcycle development was a decisive factor in the signing. The factory Red Bull team will feature Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio.

Following this, Tech3 confirmed that Australian rider Senna Agius will move from Moto2 to the premier class to join Marini. Agius, a former European Moto2 champion, completes the Tech3 KTM pairing, representing a combination of youth and experience for the new technical era.

With the Tech3 announcement, the 2027 MotoGP grid is now considered complete. Other significant shifts for the season include Fabio Quartararo moving to Honda, Nicolo Bulega joining the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team on a Ducati, and Jorge Martin and Ai Ogura joining Yamaha. In the Ducati Lenovo Team, Marc Marquez is set to compete alongside Pedro Acosta through 2028, while Aprilia Racing will feature Francesco Bagnaia and Marco Bezzecchi. Additionally, Gresini Racing MotoGP will undergo a total roster change, pairing Joan Mir with newcomer Daniel Holgado.
