Guinean state institutions are facing internal labor disputes involving the suspension of union activities.

At the Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea (BCRG), Governor Karamo Kaba banned all union activities and suspended 12 union bureau members for two months following a labor court decision. The dispute originated from disagreements over the distribution of school bonuses for employees' children. Major labor organizations, including the USTG and FESABAG, have met to discuss the decision, with some leaders stating that a strike remains a possibility if the suspension is not rescinded.

Simultaneously, a dispute has emerged within the parliamentary administration in Conakry. The administration's Secretary General, Aboubacar Camara, announced a suspension of the union bureau's activities, citing an expired mandate. Union leaders have rejected this as an “illegal decision without legal basis” that infringes on trade union freedom. Despite the administrative order, the union intends to proceed with a congress to elect a new bureau as scheduled.
