Lagor village double homicide

Overview

In the village of Lagor, located in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department of southwestern France, a 90-year-old man was taken into custody following a double homicide. The suspect allegedly used a shotgun to kill two neighbors, an 85-year-old man and his 82-year-old wife, who died at the scene.

The suspect has been placed in pre-trial detention. The local community has been deeply affected by the violence, leading authorities to cancel scheduled festivities and hold a memorial mass for the couple.
