Lagos State security resource enhancements
Overview
The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has initiated several resource donations to strengthen security infrastructure and personnel capacity in Lagos, Nigeria.
In August 2026, the LSSTF provided protective gear to the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) BEECROFT, including 50 ballistic helmets, 50 bulletproof vests, and 100 raincoats. During the same period, CIG Motors Group donated 10 operational vehicles, valued at over N300 million, to support logistics and emergency response.
By September 2026, the LSSTF expanded its focus to railway security by donating two patrol vehicles to the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC). These assets, valued at over N50 million each, are intended to assist the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in protecting passengers and preventing vandalism along railway corridors.
