Rosberg proposed alternatives such as closing the pit lane during a VSC or drastically reducing pit lane speed limits to mitigate unfair advantages.

Beyond the technical controversy, Norris faced criticism from former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner regarding his conduct in the post-race cooldown room. Steiner labeled Norris’s behavior unprofessional after the driver was seen drinking from a Coca-Cola can, noting the conflict with F1’s sponsorship ties to Pepsi.
