Lanzarote humanitarian aid to Venezuela

Overview

Lanzarote has organized the shipment of approximately 30 tons of humanitarian aid to Venezuela to assist populations affected by earthquakes in June. The shipment includes medical supplies, non-perishable food, hygiene products, clothing, and mattresses.

The initiative is a collaborative effort involving the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the Lanzarote and La Graciosa Security and Emergency Consortium, the Unión Canario-Venezolana, and the Venezolanos Unidos sociocultural association. The Cabildo de Lanzarote is managing international maritime logistics. Once in Venezuela, the aid will be distributed through a network of roughly 60 local institutions, with a specific focus on supplies for children.
