In Burdur, a 30-year-old man underwent a six-hour multidisciplinary surgery at Burdur State Hospital to remove a 13-centimeter mass located behind the mesentery. The mass had been pressing on the urinary tract, large intestine, and major blood vessels.

In Aydın, 67-year-old Leyla Demirkafa underwent a six-hour operation performed by Op. Dr. Çağrı Coşkun to remove a 40-kilogram abdominal tumor. Demirkafa, who had been housebound for approximately 15 years due to the mass and a total weight of roughly 170 kilograms, reported significant improvements in mobility and health, noting she can now walk in her garden and perform daily tasks independently.
