Latin America property title regularisation

In late July 2026 municipal authorities in Argentina’s Malvinas Argentinas and Mexico’s Cajeme (Sonora) held ceremonies handing property deeds to dozens of families – 41 and 12 respectively – under national regularisation laws, bringing the total number of households benefiting from the programmes to roughly 700.

A week later the effort expanded further. In Chile’s Retiro neighbourhood, 159 families received titles for the Brisas de Retiro housing complex through the Ministry of Housing’s Solidarity Housing Fund. In Mexico’s Tamaulipas state, officials convened a meeting to streamline title‑grant processes, establishing new coordination mechanisms aimed at accelerating regularisation for many more families. The snapshots illustrate a regional push to formalise ownership for low‑income homeowners, with the scale of distributions growing and institutional cooperation strengthening across Argentina, Chile and Mexico.
