In September, approximately 1,000 police officers carried out a large-scale operation in Gürsu. This coordinated effort by narcotics, anti-smuggling, anti-terrorism, and traffic units resulted in the seizure of unlicensed pistols, ammunition, and methamphetamine. The operation also targeted illegal gambling and unlicensed businesses, leading to fines and legal proceedings.
In October, the Bursa Provincial Gendarmerie Command targeted illegal cigarette production in the Nilüfer and Osmangazi districts. Raids on warehouses and residences led to the seizure of production equipment, 60,000 filled cigarettes, unstamped packs, and significant quantities of tobacco. The seized materials were valued at approximately 1.5 million TL, and two of the three suspects detained were subsequently arrested.
