Leandro Grass Federal District campaign proposals

Leandro Grass, a candidate for the Government of the Federal District, has presented various campaign proposals targeting public administration, employment, and regional development.

His initial proposals focused on improving public service through a permanent negotiation table with public servants and professional training via the Government School. To combat youth unemployment, he suggested creating links between companies and recent graduates for internships and first-time jobs. Additionally, he proposed using fiscal incentives, such as progressive property tax, to address abandoned properties and insecurity in Taguatinga. Expanding his platform to Brazlândia, Grass proposed integrating the region’s agricultural vocation with ecotourism, religious tourism, and historical heritage to boost local income. He emphasized a model that balances family farming with the conservation of the Cerrado biome to ensure water security for the Federal District.

As the 2026 election campaign intensifies, the political landscape has shifted toward issues of transparency and security. Grass has joined a supra-partisan effort with six other candidates to request a formal investigation by the Public Ministry of the Federal District and Territories (MPDFT) into alleged monthly payments of R$ 100,000 from a government contractor to a company controlled by the family of incumbent Governor Celina Leão. Furthermore, Grass has publicly criticized the credibility of the Banco de Brasília (BRB), demanding increased transparency regarding the institution’s debt and capitalization levels amidst ongoing investigations.
