Legal proceedings regarding singer Güllü's death

Overview

A trial has commenced in Yalova regarding the death of singer Gül Tut, known as ‘Güllü’, who fell from a sixth-floor window. The defendant, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, faces charges of ‘premeditated murder against an ascendant’ and is facing a potential aggravated life sentence.

Gülter has denied the allegations, stating she was in a different room at the time of the incident. The court is reviewing digital evidence, including a message from the defendant stating, ‘My mother is about to throw herself,’ which the defense argues refers to a different subject. Following conflicting witness testimony, the court has ordered continued detention of the defendant and adjourned the trial until October 9.
