Legal proceedings regarding violence and fatalities in Turky

Overview

Legal proceedings are advancing in Turkey regarding several incidents involving violence and fatalities.

In Şanlıurfa, a court has adjourned the case involving the death of 15-year-old apprentice Muhammed Kendirci, who died after being subjected to high-pressure air from a compressor. The accused, Habip Aksoy, faces charges of killing with possible intent, though he claims the incident was a joke. Concurrently, in Afyonkarahisar, a student has initiated legal action following an alleged physical confrontation with a teacher.

In Mersin, separate trials are underway. An instructor, S. P. C., faces charges of ‘torture’ and ‘cruelty’ following allegations of systematic abuse of a 5-year-old child with atypical autism. Additionally, driver Melis Kuş is facing trial for a high-speed fatal accident on the D-400 highway that resulted in the deaths of four young cousins.
