León agri-food fair in Gijón

Overview

The third edition of the León Products Fair opened in Gijón, featuring 23 exhibitors from the province of León. Organized by the Diputación de León in collaboration with the Gijón City Council and the Casa de León in Asturias, the event aimed to expand commercial opportunities for León’s agri-food companies and strengthen their presence in the Asturian market.

The fair showcased a diverse range of products, including sweets, honey, cheeses, meats, wines, and spirits, through technical presentations and guided tastings.

The event concluded with record attendance and sales figures. The closing festivities included a traditional ‘pendones’ parade, featuring over twenty municipal banners and insignias accompanied by the Noega bagpipe band and various folklore groups. Local officials, including Gijón Mayor Carmen Moriyón and Diputación Vice President Roberto Aller, participated in the procession.
