Light art festivals in the Netherlands
Overview
Various light art festivals are scheduled to take place in the Netherlands during late 2026.
The Amsterdam Light Festival will hold its 15th anniversary edition from November 26, 2026, to January 17, 2027. This jubilee event will feature a new route with light art installations by domestic and international artists displayed along the city’s canals, bridges, and historical facades.
In Almere, the fifth edition of the ALLUMINOUS light art festival is set for October 9 to October 18, 2026. Centered around the Weerwater, the festival coincides with the 50th anniversary of the city. The event will include a 5.5-kilometer route of installations and the launch of ‘Tech X Art X Light’, a three-year innovation program designed to connect the Almere Tech Campus with the arts through technological experimentation.
