Lions Club first aid training initiatives in Italy

Overview

The Lions Club has organized a series of first aid training initiatives titled ‘Viva Sofia – Due mani per la vita’ across different Italian locations.

In Vasto Marina, the Lions Club of Vasto and San Salvo conducted training led by Dr. Daniele Donigaglia. The session focused on pediatric airway obstruction relief, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and the use of semi-automatic external defibrillators (AED).

Following this, the Lions Club Sambuca Belice and the Italian Red Cross held a similar community safety meeting in Santa Margherita di Belice. Led by Dr. Nino Ciancimino, this session provided instruction on airway clearance maneuvers for adults and children to assist citizens, parents, and teachers during the initial minutes of medical emergencies.
