Lithuania Kaunas region receives EU manufacturing funding

In late July 2026 the Lithuanian Ministry of Economy and Innovation confirmed that more than €62 million of EU structural‑fund financing would be allocated to four large firms in the Kaunas region. The first announcement on 22 July detailed a €63 million grant split among Teltonika EMS, Vilnius Paukštynas, Hautica and Rapsoila, targeting modernisation, the creation of over 780 sustainable jobs and the development of STEP technologies deemed strategically important for Europe’s digital, clean‑energy and biotech sectors.

A follow‑up on 28 July clarified that the funding total had been adjusted to €62.8 million, slightly higher than an earlier €60 million estimate, and projected roughly 900 new sustainable jobs across Kaunas city, its district, Kaišiadorys and Kėdainiai municipalities. Officials highlighted the projects’ role in strengthening Lithuania’s industrial potential and contributing to the EU’s strategic technology agenda.
