Lithuanian diplomatic support for Ukraine

Overview

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda visited Kyiv to commemorate Ukraine’s 35th anniversary of independence and reaffirm long-term support for the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. During his visit, Nausėda met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and participated in regional security summits involving the North Sea and Baltic states, as well as the ‘Partnership Coalition’.

Nausėda outlined priorities for future assistance, including the reconstruction of electrical infrastructure, hospitals, and schools, while supporting Ukraine’s path toward NATO and European Union membership. During the celebrations, President Zelenskyy awarded Nausėda the Ukrainian Order of Freedom, an honor the Lithuanian president stated “belongs to all Lithuanian people.”
