Live-streaming platform events in Thailand

In August 2026, major live-streaming platforms TikTok LIVE and Bigo Live held large-scale events in Thailand to celebrate the expanding creator economy in the Asia-Pacific region. TikTok reported significant growth, noting that over 95 million creators in the region used its LIVE feature during the first half of 2026, a 50% increase from the previous year.

During the TikTok LIVE Community Fest 2026 in Bangkok, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) partnered with the platform to launch a ‘Creator-Powered Tourism’ initiative. This program utilized more than 300 creators from Southeast Asia, the Caucasus, and Central Asia to promote Thai culture, food, and lifestyle. Participants engaged in activities such as a ‘Team Rally’ in the Song Wat riverside neighborhood to produce authentic content. TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool stated the partnership aims to turn online discovery into travel inspiration.

Simultaneously, Bigo Live hosted its Thailand Mid-Year Gala 2026, bringing together hundreds of creators and community leaders from over 10 countries to recognize those driving digital content trends.
