Livorno summer music festivals 2026

In July 2026 Livorno staged the sixth edition of the Riccardo Cioni Memorial DJ festival at Fortezza Nuova, featuring vinyl‑only sets by local and international DJs and broadcast live on RAI Radio 2. Municipal officials attended, highlighting the event’s cultural‑tourism role.

Later that month the city hosted two major summer festivals on the same night: the Memorial DJ Full Time at Fortezza Medicea, which included a special award for a young DJ promoting social inclusion, and the 14th edition of the Effetto Venezia festival in Piazza del Luogo Pio, which combined cultural dialogue with live performances. Both events underscored Livorno’s vibrant summer calendar and its focus on emerging talent.

On 31 July the sixth edition of the Memorial DJ Full Time returned to Fortezza Medicea, hosted by Roberto DJ Onofri and Gloria Zanin. The night featured a talent award for a young DJ, a performance by Alex Kardo, and continued to honor pioneering disco‑DJ Riccardo Cioni. Meanwhile, the Effetto Venezia festival proceeded with its 41st edition, adding a talk on bullying, a live set by Sanremo star Ditonellapiaga, a closing concert by Ginevra Di Marco, and performances by youth bands, reinforcing the broader summer cultural program across the region.
