So I am sad about that.’ His engineer, Stuart Barlow, offered support by encouraging him to focus on the successful recovery to ninth. His teammate, Pierre Gasly, finished seventh after starting from pole position.

Following the race, the FIA placed Colapinto under investigation for a potential infraction regarding practice start procedures and a failure to follow Race Direction instructions.
