This allows users to manage button assignments, DPI sensitivity, and SmartShift settings locally using readable TOML configuration files, without requiring a Logi ID, user registration, or cloud connectivity.

OpenLogi offers broader platform support than the official utility by including Linux (X11 / XWayland) alongside macOS and Windows. It is compatible with Bluetooth, USB, and Logitech’s Bolt or Unifying receivers. However, developers note the project is still in active development and may not be fully stable. Additionally, users should note that OpenLogi and the official Logitech software cannot be used simultaneously due to HID++ access conflicts. The demand for such alternatives was further highlighted by a previous incident where a Logitech certificate expiration error caused macOS users to lose access to their device settings.
