LOT Polish Airlines Warsaw-Bangkok flight resumption
Overview
LOT Polish Airlines has resumed direct scheduled service between Warsaw Chopin Airport and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, ending a 26-year hiatus. The route utilizes Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
Following the inaugural flight on October 7, 2026, the service initially operated three times per week. To accommodate the winter travel season, the airline plans to increase frequency to five flights per week starting October 26, 2026, through March 2027, providing up to 1,260 inbound seats weekly.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand has supported the expansion to strengthen ties with Central European markets, noting that Thailand anticipates hosting approximately 250,000 tourists from Poland in 2026. The direct link is expected to facilitate longer stays and increased visitor spending.
Building on the resumption of the route, LOT Polish Airlines and Thai Airways have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a codeshare partnership. As fellow Star Alliance members, the carriers aim to deepen interline cooperation to expand flight options and travel convenience across Europe, Asia, and Oceania. Pending regulatory approval, these codeshare services are scheduled to commence at the beginning of the 2027 summer flight season.
