Lucid Air Air UX 3.0 software rollout

Overview

Lucid Group has initiated the rollout of Air UX 3.0, a significant software update (version 2.11.0) for the Lucid Air electric sedan. The update aims to provide a faster, more intuitive digital experience by incorporating design elements from the Lucid Gravity model, such as a redesigned Home screen with swipeable cards and a ‘Quick Controls’ menu.

While the update is delivered via over-the-air transmission, availability depends on the vehicle model year. Model year 2025 and newer vehicles receive the update as a standard feature. For 2022, 2023, and certain 2024 models in the United States, the new interface requires a $950 infotainment processor hardware upgrade, which includes installation. Lucid has noted that older models will still receive security updates and bug fixes regardless of the hardware upgrade.
