Lufthansa network adjustments for 2027

Overview

Lufthansa has announced several adjustments to its flight network scheduled for the 2027 season.

In Germany, the airline will resume a daily route between Bremen and Frankfurt starting in the summer of 2027 to improve connectivity to its international long-haul network. This resumption coincides with a reduction in service capacity between Bremen and Munich.

On an international scale, the Lufthansa Group is expanding its capacity to Japan to meet rising travel demand. This expansion includes the resumption of seasonal direct flights between Frankfurt and Nagoya three times weekly, as well as the introduction of a new daily seasonal service from Frankfurt to Tokyo-Narita. The group’s various hub airlines, including SWISS, Austrian Airlines, and ITA Airways, aim to provide up to 50 weekly flights across four Japanese destinations.
