Overview

In Lumellogno, a hamlet of Novara, a dispute between neighbors escalated into a violent stabbing on the night of August 14. A 50-year-old man was arrested for attempted murder after allegedly attacking his 68-year-old neighbor with a kitchen knife following a confrontation regarding noise disturbances.

The victim was hospitalized in critical condition for intestinal surgery at Maggiore Hospital in Novara. While his condition has since improved and he is no longer in life-threatening danger, he remains hospitalized. The suspect was placed in precautionary custody in prison.
