Luxury automotive collaborations and technological shifts

The luxury automotive sector has highlighted high-end creative collaborations and new technological developments. Singer Vehicle Design partnered with Louis Vuitton to produce two custom Porsche 911 (964 generation) restomods. The project, which began with a request for a custom analog dashboard clock inspired by the Louis Vuitton Tambour collection, expanded into a comprehensive design endeavor.

These vehicles feature extensive Louis Vuitton craftsmanship, including leather upholstery, custom gear shifts, door locks, and switches. The collaboration also includes exclusive luggage and lifestyle accessories such as suitcases, skis, and surfboards. One model is a Classic Coupé with a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated engine, while the other is a white Classic Turbo Cabriolet featuring a biturbo engine. The mechanical timepiece for the project was developed by La Fabrique du Temps. Reports indicate the price for each vehicle is approximately £2.5 million.

In separate developments, Karma unveiled the Gyesera Grand Coupé at Pebble Beach. The vehicle utilizes Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) technology, using a thermal engine as a range extender. The four-seater grand tourer features an aluminum spaceframe and carbon fiber bodywork, producing 574 horsepower.
